Why and How to Change a Password in HotmailOverview

There are several reasons why you might want to change your Hotmail password. You may have forgotten your password and are now unable to log in to your email account. Forgotten Password

If you have forgotten it and need to know how to change your Hotmail password, start by going to the Hotmail sign in page. In the Sign In section on the left side of the page, click the Forgot Your Password link. You will be taken to the Reset Your Password page.

Enter your Hotmail email address into the Windows Live ID box. Be sure to include the @hotmail.com extension at the end of your email address, such as YourName@hotmail.com. Enter the "CAPTCHA" code and click Continue.

On the next page, select an option for resetting your password. You can choose to use your location information and secret answer to verify your identity, or you can have password reset instructions sent to you in an email. You will need to have an alternate email address set up on your Hotmail account in order to use the second option. Once you select the option you want to use, answer the questions provided or select the email address to which you want instructions sent. Account Security

Microsoft says:

“Only Certified for Windows Vista products have undergone Microsoft tests for reliability, security, and compatibility on PCs running 32-bit or 64-bit versions of Windows Vista. Certified for Windows Vista products help make activities like enjoying photos and music, setting up wireless networks, connecting with friends, and completing business tasks faster, easier, and more secure. “

Works with Windows Vista: The product has had baseline testing to make sure it can work with the Vista operating system.

Compatible with Windows Vista: The product either falls in the groups Certified for Windows Vista, Lithium-ion battery Works with Windows Vista, or Games for Windows,

or

The device manufacturer states they provide Windows Vista support for the product.

Without one of the preceding logos, Microsoft goes by the word of the manufacturer, because it has not done tests on the product.

Microsoft lists under printers and scanners: inkjet, Apple A1078 Battery, laser, multi, scanners and other printers.

Under ink-jet are 706 printers. 590 of these are compatible with Windows Vista. 92 of those are Certified for Windows Vista Printers. There are also 28 printers in the category Works with Windows Vista.

There are 934 Laser printers. Of these, 778 are compatible with Windows Vista. Apple M8244 Battery, Apple A1079 Battery, Apple A1078 Battery, Apple A1148 Battery, Apple M6091 Battery 150 are certified for Windows Vista, and 96 Work with Windows Vista.
